Four o' clock, she stares at them once again.

"You're so lucky that you get to hang with such a cutie!"

"Man, it's like you two are already going out."

Violet eyes blinked lazily before he flashed the two boys a false smile. Did it seem that way?

Because the truth was way different.

When he first met her, he didn't think much of her actually. She was pretty, but much too shy. Though that itself was kind of cute he had to admit. He ran a pale hand through his golden hair as he continued to be absorbed in his thoughts until he was rudely awakened by a rather vile comment.

"Hey Yuu, how far did you go with her?" a boy leered.

He lifted his head up and stared at the boy.

Who was he again?

They had randomly approached him, he had no idea how they even knew his name. Yes, it might have been rude to not know their names, but they weren't even in the same grade much less class as him.

He ignored him by brushing off the comment and continuing to sip his strawberry milk.

"Hey! Show some respect for your seniors pretty boy!" The other one sneered.

His reply was a grin. " Then as seniors don't you think you should be studying instead of bothering a poor sophomore? And I'm so glad that my sempai thinks I'm pretty." He snickered, batting his eyes in a girl like fashion.

"Y-you! How dare you!" The senior cried, apparently tongue tied. The other one was just plain speechless.

Yuu gave them one last wink before pivoting on his heel, sticking his tongue out as he heard their enraged screams from a distance.

Idiots. That's what they were. He admitted that he was somewhat of a two face but they were just plain disgusting. Who were they to ask such a personal question? They didn't even know him. Neither did they know her.

He arrived at the classroom just as the bell rang, signifying the end of another school day.

"Momo, let's go." Exclaimed a raven haired girl, holding out a hand.

"Sorry Sakura, I have to stay behind to do something." She murmured quietly, biting her bottom lip nervously.

"Again?!"

"I'm sorry.."

"Wh-" Sakura held back from asking something, and settled with clenching her teeth and pouting instead. She would not be so protective, so pushy. Momo wasn't a child who needed to be coddled, she was her friend. Too much interfering was no good, but it was so hard! It was so hard not to worry and she felt so lonely..it was as if she was trying to distance herself from her..

"I understand." She muttered reluctantly.

Momo flinched with guilt at the hurt in her best friends voice. " You can walk with Jun." She suggested, " you guys need to spend more time together." She smiled.

If Sakura had not been so busy being flustered at the mention of Jun, she would have noticed that the smile Momo wore was forced and pained.

"Alright..bye then." Sakura sighed.

"See you tomorrow!" Momo waved, a strained smile upon her face.

As soon as the raven haired girl stepped out did she let out a relieved sigh. Her smile faded into a frown, brows creasing from the worry and stress.

It was so difficult, lying to her everyday. Blue eyes blinked back tears as she continued to stand near the door way. She felt so alone, who should she tell her problems to? Sakura was her best friend, yet this time Momo couldn't confess. It would surely hurt her. She did not want to weigh her down with her own problems. Sakura had sacrificed so much for her, and it would be selfish if Momo had said her true feelings.

"Staying after school again?"

Momo jolted in surprise before turning around.

"Oh..its just you.." her relief evident.

He gave her a grin, leaning on the wall.

"You skipped again." she stated rather then ask.

"Hm" he shrugged, suddenly finding his nails very interesting to look at.

"Your lucky Sakura already left, she would've given you a lecture."

He laughed, leaving the wall to go to his desk. Yuu grabbed his bag and swung it on his back. "Bye, Momo." he waved a hand at her nonchalantly, already heading for the door. "Do what you have to do."

Blue eyes widened in surprise at the double meaning, she shook her head internally-there was no way he could've known! "Bye! If you run, you should be able to catch up to Sakura and Jun! They just left."

No response.

Sighing, she walked towards the window, placing herself in her usual position. Hands touched lightly on the glass window, careful not to make any smudges, her blue orbs searching for the familiar figures. She spotted them nearby, chatting as Jun's larger hands grabbed Sakura's. Her face red from such intimacy as holding hands.

Her heart shattered.

Momo faintly wondered why she was torturing herself like this. Why did she have to fall for him? Such feelings were forbidden, so she decided to lock them away. But it was so hard whenever she was near him, her heart would throb. What kind of face was she making when she was with him? Was it obvious? She was so scared that Sakura would find out.

So she distanced herself. She avoided him, avoided hanging out with Sakura. She was being selfish, and she knew it. But she just couldn't handle her heart shattering every time they were together. She would never be able to survive it. Momo didn't understand why she couldn't let go. It seemed so easy to just let it all go. Perhaps it was because he was her first love, first loves were known to be special after all. But...when will her first love end? Would she wake up one day and have no feelings for him? How exactly did it work?

She let out another forlorn sigh.

Yuu knew it was wrong to spy on her, but he couldn't help it. Besides, it wasn't like it was the first time.

He leaned on the wall peaking through the small window on the door.

She loved him.

He had found out when Momo kept on looking at Jun, a indescribable look on her face. Guilt, fear and pain. Something else was there too.

Love.

A swarm of warmth and desires.

He wasn't stupid, he knew how he felt about her. Otherwise, he would've never found out about her feelings.

After all, he was always watching her. His eyes just wandered towards her, he would occasionally think about her for no reason, and his heart would speed up like an idiot just being near her. It was downright weird since he never thought he actually like her that way. They were a group of four, yet now-it was all broken up.

Her heart was breaking and he couldn't do anything about it. He couldn't comfort her, promise her a happy ending or anything. He could only stay by her and watch her from afar.

His lips turned upwards into a mirthless smile at the thought. He was useless and pathetic. He ran a hand through his hair again, frustrated at his incapability. He slumped down on the wall, clinching his teeth from yelling.

She never cried.

Not once had she cried when she continued to stare outside.

So why was he crying?

He lifted a pale hand to wipe a stray tear as his vision began to blur. Great, not only was he a useless stalker, he was now a crybaby as well. Yuu furiously wiped away his tears, not noticing the quiet taps of footsteps approaching.

The door opened before Yuu even had a chance to run.

"Y-Yuu?" came Momo's gasp of surprise.

By then, Yuu's tears were all gone, because god forbid his crush would catch him crying!

"M-momo!" he flustered, cheeks warming at being caught as he struggled to his feet.

"D-did you see-?" she stuttered, averting her eyes from his gaze.

"Not really?" he answered, beaming while averting his eyes.

"Y-you saw!" she accused, her cheeks flushing a pink color.

It was utterly enchanting he thought, pink strands of hair fell out of her loose ponytail, silky tendrils framed her face. Blue eyes wavered in embarrassment.

As she continued to give excuses, he was busy observing her. He had always avoided being so close, but now she was just a few inches away from her.

"I was just!" she choked, blue eyes watering as she moved her gaze to the floor. "P-please don't tell Sakura" she whimpered, yet the tears still did not fall.

He caved.

She sounded so hurt, so scared! He wrapped his arms around her in a comforting embrace, patting her back-trying to soothe her.

"Don't worry, I won't." he whispered. "So....cry. Let it all out"

It was like he had said the magic word

The dam broke and tears gushed out of her eyes, she shook in his embrace, sobbing as she buried her face into the crook of his neck. Everything she had been holding in just bursted.

"I-I really hic! Didn't mean to! hic!"

"I know." he buried his face into her hair, his heart breaking at the sound of her cries. But it was a step needed to heal.

The sobs slowly faded into sniffles until she finally stopped.

She looked up, blue eyes peering into his violet ones.

"Umm...sorry about your shirt." she muttered shyly, looking at his soaked shirt.

"Its fine. Now you feel better right?"

"Yes." she replied, a grateful smile upon her face.

A true smile this time.

"Its like I finally let go."

Its 4'o clock once again, this time she walks hand in hand with him.
